Ethica

Handmade in Dundee, Scotland, UK

Ethica is a sustainable jewellery brand based in Dundee, Scotland, UK and founded by Rachel Adam. In her work, Rachel is inspired by horsemanship and the rural setting in which she grew up, which provided a haven of inspiration and creativity—Ethica is a celebration of the equestrian adventures that defined her childhood.

Horses are central to Ethica's designs and hoof trimmings are used throughout the brand's necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets as an alternative jewellery material. All the sterling silver used is recycled and the hoof material is ethically sourced from Rachel's own horse, Monica, as standard. The horse hoof is removed as part of Monica's normal grooming routine.
Rachel is able to use hoof trimmings from any horse so if you'd like to use your own horse's hoof trimmings, get in touch.
